David H. Middleton, Personal Injury Attorney

David H. Middleton attended school in California, graduating from California Polytechnic University at Pomona in 1987 with a degree in economics and a minor in business. He attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California, graduating in 1992. While there, Mr. Middleton was on the staff of the International and Comparative Law Journal. He returned to the northwest as a visiting student at University of the Puget Sound prior to his graduation, attending UPS in summer and fall 1992. Mr. Middleton was admitted to practice by the Washington State bar and the U.S. District Court in 1993. Mr. Middleton is an EAGLE member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the American Trial Lawyer Association. He is a member of the King County Bar Association and the Tacoma/Pierce County Bar Association.

During law school, Mr. Middleton worked for one of the largest insurance defense law firms in Los Angeles, where he first developed an interest in specializing as a personal injury attorney, writing law and motion and preparing discovery, and ultimately training clerks and associates in law and motion procedure and legal writing. Mr. Middleton spent more than 10 years as a personal injury attorney defending cases for the largest automobile insurance company in the State of Washington, in addition to several other insurance companies. As a personal injury attorney, he has litigated a wide variety of cases ranging from landslide issues to traumatic brain injury. Mr. Middleton has represented clients in more than 40 jury trials, and hundreds of arbitrations.

Mr. Middleton was previously a practicing personal injury attorney as well as a shareholder in the law firm of Cushman, Raymond, & Middleton. He founded David H. Middleton & Associates, P.S. in 1997. Since then he has focused on personal injury cases, and as of 2002 has completely limited his practice to only representing plaintiffs and claimants in personal injury cases. Since 2004, he has represented clients with settlements, awards and verdicts totaling more than $5,000,000.00.
